The crew that came to move my apartment were very impressive, they were the best I've seen. Within the quoted 3 hours, they finished the move, and did a very very professional job.
They made sure to place the items where I asked them to place it, and pretty much everything was intact (as far as I have seen. I'm still going through the rest of the items)

However, as much as I am impressed with the moving crew, my gripe is with the salesperson. While I was shopping around for quotes, I was given a few false promises.

I specifically asked if I would be held responsible to pay any parking tickets, and the salesman said 'NO'.But as it turned out, their policy is to hold the customer responsible for parking tickets. I've moved before in Manhattan, and companies like Last Minute Movers take full responsibility of the parking ticket.

Also, a full bed of mine, was among the list of items I gave the salesperson, while getting a quote. And in fact, I still have his quote(email), which clearly lists this bed. However, this wasnt told to the moving crew, and they showed me their item-list. And guess what? There was no bed in their list.

So yeah, if a friend of mine asks me today to recommend someone, I would recommend this crew. But only because the moving crew , more than made-up for the mistakes made by the salesmen.

I was scheduled on a Sunday advised 9a to 11am arrival. I received a call at 9am and the movers were at my home by 930am. the 3 drivers 3 hours sounds like a bargain but it took them almost 2 hrs to wrapped the 3 rooms of furniture. We moved 3 minutes away and the ran 1 hour over. Also, we were advised by the movers that we had to pay tolls! Well that didn't happen. I did end paying an extra hour but the movers did a great job.

I've had Available movers, move me 3x over the past 2 years. Normally movers are grumpy and a little on the rude side but not these guys. They were very professional, polite and organized. I especially loved Colby and requested him to do my move again because i was so happy with everything. None of my property was damaged. I would definitely recommend them to make your move hassle and stress free.

Available Movers did a great job over the phone asking me question to accurately charge me for the job. They also kept in contact with me throughout the entire process. If I had any question they were always very helpful. When it can to moving day the men were very fast and efficient.

With that said, when the movers showed up for moving day with contract in hand I was told that the price was not negotiable. Over the phone prior to the day of moving I was told that if the mover took less time I would have been charged less for the job which I though was very fair and an other reason why I went with them. If fact the price went up further due to toll charges which were never discussed. I was at there mercy and had no choice so I signed to paperwork and hoped there would be no other surprises ahead. The movers did not always ask where boxes needed to go and we found out after the fact that our things were scattered throughout our garage. The furniture fell that was stacked so high leaving gouges and marks all over 3 chairs. Then we noticed later that night the dining room table had been scratch in the move as well. So I guess the moral of my story is wrap your items very well before you have available movers do the job and make sure they put everything in writing before the movers get there.

We were very pleased with the work the men did. They went to extra lengths to protect the furniture and were friendly and polite. However, the problem we did have was the timing. It ended up working out okay, but we had contracted the move for 7/24/12 because the condo was sold and closing was at noon on the 25th and we had to be out by then. Two days before, we got a call that the movers would be there at 1:00 on the 25th. When I told the dispatcher that we had to be out by noon on the 25th, he stated that the movers would be there by 9:00 am on the 25th. They came at 1:00 on the 25th. Lucky for us there was a problem with closing or we would have been stuck!!!

We moved from NYC to Brooklyn yesterday and the guys from Available Movers seriously made moving day a breeze. They worked fast, they were friendly, considerate, careful with our "stuff" and went the extra mile with disassembling and assembling our dining room table and bedroom set.

I have moved many many times in the past and have a lot of antique furniture that have been damaged during my past moves. The available movers highly experienced and courteous crew, moved my house hold and antique with such care that I had never seen with any other moving company. I highly recommend it. I was very pleased with the service I recieved. They were professional and wrapped my furniture nicely. I have to say though, the added gratuity I feel is up to a customer. We are paying for things to be moved.... isnt that their job? If u went into a restuarnt u would pay for your food and tip the server for the service. The service in this case was to have my furniture moved. The contract stipulated the amount for traveling so that is accounted for..... the balance was to move my items.

I am finally writing a review. I am very happy to say we had the best experience with the entire move on both ends. in Pa. The 2 men were so thorough, so helpful and explained everything to us while packing. The packing was so well done and they wasted no time. We headed to Florida to start working on our property and by the time we were done I recieved calls and emails informing us where they where and approx time of arrival. The delivery guys were just as great and placed everything where I wanted it. I recommend Available movers for everyone thinking about a long distance move. Don't waste your time searching. Chris Buck was awesome to work with as I constantly called and changed things. My daughter and husband are now moving to Alabama from Pa. And will be using Available Movers. Overall customer service and avaiablilty was excellent. My move date was moved up and due to a Snow storm the day before the moving truck Got stuck in traffic and I was notified by the Moving crew of the delay. The guys who moved me were on time, polite and very helpful in wrapping furniture to protect it and moving fragile items (including a large flatscreen) with a delicate touch. Isaac and Tudor were the most professional and absolutely wonderful movers (men) I have ever known. They are your hardest workers, and treated me exceptionally well. I worked with them for 3 days, and I need to just rave about their work and work ethic!! They worked long hours, did not even stop to eat and had very little sleep time. My furniture was totally protected from the move, and arrived in perfect condition. They were never crabby, and treated me with utmost respect. Treat them well. You do not want to loose them!! They deserve a HUGE Christmas (holiday) bonus!!! Please tell them I am sending them love and light, and I will always remember them in my prayers!!

I must say I was impressed. I have had some bad experiences in the past moving but far from the case with these guys!!! They were great!!! And I mean great!!!! From the moment I got on the phone with Diane, to the moment the guys arrived at my location it was fantastic. Moving sucks, especially long distance, but these guys made me feel really good. The movers themselves were great! They were quick and careful with my furniture. The estimate I received was low. It would be helpful if the salesperson had informed me that everything including my coffee tables needed to be boxed. I ended up paying an extra $100 for boxes!

Overall my experience went well, I would recommend Available Movers but would tell them to expect to pay a few hundred extra.

The move was a total disaster! At no time was I told that the move woud be transfered to another mover for delivery. The damage was incredible!! the total lack of respect for other peoples belonging was boarderline criminal. I would never recommend Available movers to anyone and would hope this is posted on their web site as fair warning to the unsuspecting future victims.

In the end this was a ok move. I was shipping some items to Idaho from CT. The thing is the estimator tool that Chris uses needs some work. His estimate was off. I feel my due diligence and persitance paid off in the end, but it took some work on my part.

Available Movers did an excellent job moving my Dad's apartment belongings from Philadelphia, PA to Houston, TX. The crew that packed, crated and loaded the cartons and furniture in Philadelphia were quick, polite and very professional in their approach. There were several antique dressers that needed crating, which was an extra $30 each, and they did an excellent job, securing and crating them. On the delivery, the movers were on time and did an excellent job unloading and carrying to the house and then up to the 2nd floor for several pieces of furniture. I would definitely use them again if need be. After reading all the scary reviews on other folk's experience with other movers, I am glad I picked Available Movers.

Available Movers have pleasantly surprised me with their extreme kindness and professionalism. The prices were very affordable, and the movers were very careful with my furniture. They cautiously packed all my items and provided me with all the shipping materials. There was no need for me to run around and buy supplies since everything was provided to me at the tip of my fingers.

Fantastic movers

Great move and outstanding service! I had to move within on a certain day from my old apt. and then to the new apt. in a locked period of time due to freight elevator sign up.

This was not a problem and the entire team understood and delivered – on time and on budget – even with a delay due to a festival in LIC! When I move again, this is the company I am going to go with. Don't waste your time and money with other movinig companies.

Pros: Gave great advice on how to wrap your fragile items and helped wrap my TV

IT WAS A PLEASURE!!!

After moving quite a few times in the past, and having problems each and every time, I decided to use Available Movers after a friend of mine recommended them to me. Even though they were fully booked on the day I requested, they made a huge effort to move me on that same day in the afternoon. I was told I would have a move crew of 3 men at 3:00pm and I would be contacted if there were any delays.

At 2:50pm the crew arrived and started moving my belongings. All my furniture was wrapped with blankets and could tell that the movers really cared. I have heard about movers that demanded a tip but my movers didn't even mention it. Everything arrived in the same condition it was when it was loaded on the truck and was put in the rooms I asked them to.

They disassembled and reassembled my beds and tables and protected my glass items (they charged extra for glass items to be wrapped but I was aware of this prior to the move). By the time the move was over it was 9:00pm and the movers were patient and continued working right till the end.

I was a little afraid with the hourly rate charge (how could I know that they wouldn't just take their time and work slow?), but the movers worked hard from start to end. In other words, IT WAS A PLEASURE!!!

We have used Available Movers twice and were provided with a good service each time. There was a little mishap the second time with regards to the estimation and actual amount that we were charged. But, the owner himself was kind enough to call us and resolve the issue.



With that said, we would use them again and would recommend to others.
